Nordic-US Food Summit Application 

We are seeking sustainability-driven Nordic Food and Agricultural companies ready to scale their solutions in the US market and beyond. A screening committee from academia, business, VC, government and media will select the most promising applications to join the summit.

  • Participate in a virtual pre-arrival program including 1:1 individualized US pitch coaching and smaller group pitch trainings with a professional pitch coach

  • Connect with Silicon Valley's leading investors, industry leaders and scientists devoted to helping Nordic companies achieve success across the Atlantic. 
  • Exclusive Nordic Acceleration event at UC Davis
  • Attend the Nordic-US panel discussions & Keynotes event at the Nordic Center at UC Berkeley's Center for Responsible Business

Evaluation criteria 

  • The proven/ potential sustainability impact (30%)
  • Readiness to scale in the US (30%)
  • Proof of concept/market traction (20%)
  • Relevant team experience/diversity (20%)

The Nordic Food Summit is solutions agnostic, meaning if your company is able to create a sustainable impact on the food system, we're interested in hearing from you! It doesn't matter if you're a SaaS company designed to reduce food waste, or the next plant-based burger. All startups must be Nordic to qualify.

Timeline & Application Process 

  • Application deadline: September 2
  • Selected companies announced: September 9
  • Confirmation deadline: September 16

  • The application is non-binding and free​​
  • Participation fee: $2,000* 
*Selected companies will confirm their spot by paying a registration fee of $2,000 (excl. airfare & accommodation)
All applications will be reviewed and participating companies will be selected by a screening committee.
