Susana C.M. Teixeira

Susana C. M. Teixeira, Ph.D. Neutron research Scientist.

Susana Teixeira is a guest researcher at the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST, Maryland USA), where she works as an instrument scientist and is one of the directors of the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships SURF program.

At the University of Delaware, Susana collaborates with STF Technologies LLC in the context of a Small Business Innovation Research grant, to produce sample environment instrumentation for neutron research, namely food and biopharma research in a broad range of conditions (pressure, temperature, pH, etc).

Susana previously worked at the Institut Laue Langevin for 12 years, as a joint Lecturer for Keele University (UK) and a crystallography expert at the ILL (France). Susana has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Reading, UK, and graduated in Chemical Engineering at the University of Lisbon, Portugal.
